The RSV (and Tuono) Motor is majorly revised with different cams and a shorter stroke. Redline increases to 11,250 on RSV. Touno also increases the bore to 1147. Touno hp now 143 at crank, but torque 133NM.
The Factory is now 149hp at the crank. Up from 139. Torque also rises by 7 Nm and is over a wider rev range.
The RSVR is going to have slightly less Hp to differentiate the models even more. He didnt know the RSVR hp but guessed 143-145 as the only difference was the cams and ECU map.
The airbox has increased by 2 litres and the intake is revised and bigger internally.
The tank shape is totally revised and is now 19 ltrs
Throttle bodies are now 59mm, up from 57.
ECU is a different system/brand all together (He couldnt remember which).
The Factory will have 2 maps and you will be able to switch between the two via a button on the left switch gear. Something like the Benelli TNT I imagine. One is a cruze/economy type map for 'Road Riding" and the other is a race/thrashTheBastard map.
The Instruments remain the same but now have a gear indicator and also show the mode you are in (Race/Road).
The Factory has some the the Nera Carbon bits and is also lightened in other ways, including a slightly different frame and swingarm. It is now 177kg dry instead of 185. RSVR drops from 189 to 184kg
The ohlins forks and shock are a completely new Ohlins setup and have high and low speed dampning and the discs are wave discs. And he said they were a very cool style. RSVR syspension is the same Sachs units buy revised internals.
The Oz wheels are almost 500grams lighter which is pretty impressive and are a very elegant 5 spoke design.
The Frontal styling is revised and is more 'ergonomic'. in other words it is a bit more smooth and curvey and the colour schemes are totally different. I will post a pic. I only have the one photo which he took with his phone camera (he wasnt meant to take pics). But it is too big so I need to resize it.
The rear is similar to now, but narrower and the indicators and tail light are almost invisable and are now LEDs. You cant see them on the red or black bike but can on the yellow (yep,... yellow).
Personally I think it looks bloody fantastic.
The exhaust system is alot different. Its hard to explain. But the headers are bigger nand a completely different crossover type setup. It now has only 1... yes 1 muffler. It is NOTan underseat unit but is mounted quite high and the muffler is quite short by the look of it. Nothing like the old RSV and very trick looking.
He said one of the techos at Aprilia was quite excited and told him that adding the Aprilia "Race Only Can" and the ECU remap was adding a huge 11hp up top and 7 in the midrange (at the crank) and loses 3.4 lbs in weight.
There will also be a stripped down race only version weighing 171kg and with 153hp at the crank. But it will NOT be road legal.

skönt att aprilia har fått lite mer kapital
