New Slipper Clutch for the Honda CRF450 or Yamaha YZ450F

If you watched the final round of the AMA Red Bull Supermoto closely you saw lots of 450 Hondas out on on the field. The bikes whose wheels were hopping like a jack rabbit coming in to the turns didn't have a slipper clutch and the ones that slid smoothly into the turns did. The STM slipper virtually eliminates real wheel chatter, giving you more control on the track, knocking off crucial seconds on your lap times.

STM has incorporated their patented Evoluzione diaphragm spring design into a clutch system for the Honda CRF 450 and Yamaha YZ450F. Utilizing the factory supplied basket and clutch plates the STM slipper clutch has demonstrated itself to work very effectively in a wet environment. Det är nån form av frihjulsfunktion. Det blir visst lite halvautomat.

What does it do?

The z-Start automatically disengages your clutch at engine idle speed. As throttle is applied, centrifugal forces progressively yet positively engages the clutch. The z-Start provides perfect low-rpm clutch "feathering" every time. With the z-Start's Patent Pending External Adjuster, you can fine tune the z-Start Clutch to your riding style or riding conditions in just seconds.

What can I do with a z-Start?

Get perfect 2nd or even 3rd gear roll-on starts
Brake slide into corners without reaching for that clutch lever
Explode out of corners with perfect clutch "feathering" every time
Eliminate stalling in low-speed corners, hard braking, even crashes
Conserve energy and reduce arm pump by never needing to grab for that clutch lever
Go faster by staying focused on what's ahead instead of the clutch lever

Det där verkar vara en slirkoppling ala Aprilia. z-start är något helt annat.

Med en sådan här så kanske man sparar lite på vevstake och lager???

Råkade ut för att de säckade ihopa på min xr650

Den här z-start är nog mest tänkt för enduro,mindre risk för tjuvstopp och så.Det finns en liknande som heter Revloc också.
