Du får nog bäst svar av Hornet och Monster ägare......undrar om nån ärligt pratar skit om sin egen hoj eller bara om andras?
Det finns mycket att läsa om kvalite och problem om du söker på nätet.

The 620 IS down on power, but thats why I bought it. It didnt match the power of my Hondas because it was a 600cc twin, and they were i-4's. I didnt go with the 750 because it was rumored to only have 4 more hp over the 620. The 750 wouldve had gobs more torque I assume, but it would have put me into a higher insurance bracket as well. Will your friend outgrow the bike in a year? I dunno. The sole reason I bought the 620 over any other bike: I wanted to start over. I had a cbr 600f4 as my first bike, and an f4i as my second. I could regularly beat 99% of the locals through the turns. When I wrecked the f4i, I decided I wanted to be even better. I thought "I never really started on a starter bike (ex, sv, etc.) so I'll 'downgrade' to one of those for my next bike." Sure enough, instead of getting an SV, I bought a Ducati 620. I had the money for a superbike, but I figured if the quality was there (I did alot of research on the web about quality), I would trade the 620 in on a new 996/998 in the spring... sorry, getting off your original questions (my point was i wanted to test Ducati's quality before I ponied up 2x or more as much for a SBK)
Was it enough? For what it is, yes. There are a few locals on SV's that swear that my 620 was faster than their bikes. Who knows!?!? The sv is supposedly a better performer out of teh box, but the Monster does ok for what it does. Do I ride it hard? Well, in the turns, I keep the bike pinned. I can hold my own against much bigger bikes, because I can keep corner speed, its lighter weight, etc. But I do have to ride the thing extremely hard to do it. Would I pick up the same displacement again? Only if I was a beginner, or wanted to do what I did (go back to retrain on a smaller bike).
I think its a great starter bike, and probably the best commuter bike ever made.
The only issue(s) I have is reliability. I didnt mind being bent over for the $408 to have my 10k/km service done. Infact, I would be happy to pay that to ride Ducati, if the rest of the time the bike wasnt doing bad things.
