SEKIGUCHI RETURNS TO RACING IN PHILLIP ISLAND
Phillip Island (Australia), Thursday 11th October 2007
Taro Sekiguchi, the unlucky Campetella Racing team rider who was victim of yet another crash in the warm up of the Czech Gp last August, has got the “all-clear” from the doctors to return aboard his Aprilia 250cc this weekend. Taro, who sustained multiple fractures to his left-hip bone, pelvis and four ribs, spent over two weeks at the Brno Hospital before returning to his home land Japan. He would have liked to take part to his home-GP in Motegi over two weeks ago but in that occasion the Clinica Mobile staff had denied him the permission to race since he was still too weak and too battered to face a whole weekend of practice and race.
TARO SEKIGUCHI:
“I’m really happy to have gotten the all-clear to race this weekend. Today I sat on the bike inside our garage and the feeling was good but since I’m still not 100% it’s obvious that I’ll have to be careful this weekend and don’t over-do it. I hope it doesn’t rain because water can really complicate things”.
