" Any unburnt fuel that goes out the exhaust would be released to the atmosphere. Since governement requlations and smog control devices were created to reduce smog emissions have come into effect, this is how Suzuki is reducing emissions.
The Pair valve allows cold air to mix with the exhaust as it moves into the headers.
This cold air and and fuel rich exhaust creates a interaction to ignite and burn these excessive fuel vapors.
Dyno Turners want you to do the Pair Mod or the Block Off Plates so that when you hook up your Power Commander your PCIII will be getting actual oxygen readings from the bikes O2 sensor. This way they can program your PCIII more accurately when it comes to how much fuel should be added/subtracted. If bike is left stock, PCIII would read as though the bike is not running as rich because the Pair Valve is assisting in burning off excess fuel. This causes Dyno Tuner to want to add more fuel when in reality they might not have to add as much. With this Pair Mod, you are only letting the PCIII work better because it is getting more accurate data from the bike.
